2017 Lotto Thuringen Ladies Tour – Stage 3

Some days are just not that great. As this is the first time I’m covering this race and Germany doesn’t allow Streetview in Google Maps, I didn’t know what to expect and I was hoping for some great vistas after the last couple of days. However, today was probably the least pretty stage so far. On the other hand, it was quite heavy on the historical side of things: the main climb of the day was near the Buchenwald lager and Weimar itself has a prominent place in German history – though I had to do a bit of googling to figure out why exactly was the Weimar Republic so important after WWI.

As you’ve made it this far you’ll definitely enjoy our women’s cycling photo book, but we need your help to make it happen. You can find out more and support the book on Kickstarter. We have a bunch of cool rewards including a copy of the book with your name in, a book and a wall calendar or even a photo shoot with us. But don’t wait too long, if we don’t hit the target by 22nd July then the book won’t happen.
