Setmana Ciclista Valenciana 2019 - Stage 1

If Australian early season races are the cycling equivalent of football pre-season friendlies. Stage one of Setmana Ciclista Valenciana was definitely the opening fixture of the premier league. All the big name teams were out with their posh new kits, and spotless bikes on display. For me these early races are all about re-familiarising myself with new team kits and being able to pick out the teams we work with from the bunch. After a month or so of racing it become second nature, these early races it seems to take all my powers of concentration to pick them out. Whilst the new Bigla kit looks great, I am mourning the loss of their red helmets: It used to be so easy to see them in the bunch with big red blobs on their head! 🙂
