Setmana Ciclista Valenciana 2019 – Stage 4

The sunshine may have been missing from the start of stage four at Setmana Ciclista Valenciana but there were still plenty of smiles around the team parking this morning in Valencia. I can see why this race has quickly become an early season fixture on the calendar for some of the biggest teams in women’s cycling. Good weather, a chance for new team members to get used to racing over multiple days and much of the roads are mostly quite big with only a few more technical sections so it’s a good way of easing back into racing before the more frantic and challenging races to come.

Speaking of which Omloop het Nieuwsblad is next Saturday!

Two of the most eternally upbeat people you’ll meet at a race: CANYON//SRAM Racing soigneur, Alessandra Borchi and physio Lars Schiffner
