Tour of California 2019 – Stage 3

So that’s the end of this trip around the world for six days of racing! Who said cycling was good for the environment?! 😉

For me, three days isn’t long enough for a stage race. It’s over before it’s begun. There’s no time for stories to build and generate interest in the twists and turns in the race to win jerseys. They may as well be three one day races. It’d also make podium presentations quicker (a personal bonus for me!)

Balint is back on duty this week in the Basque Country for Emakumeen Saria and Bira. For me, I’m heading back home to get ready for Thüringen Rundfahrt in a little over a week’s time.
