It’s a bit like a ‘big crit’ except it’s not… more like a team points race with points up for grabs every other lap. The format might have been interesting but the big talking point of the day was the heat! With temperatures over 40ºC, I’m pretty sure it was a lot higher inside my moto helmet! I wasn’t sure I was going to survive, I don’t know how people raced in it. At the end of the race I had about a quarter of a bottle of water left. I poured it on my arms, it was so hot you could have brewed tea in it!
Just one race left on this first trip of the season.
